Jan 15, 2010 – Saving Our Children Foundation will be at your local Wal-Mart, 11242 Gessner Road, Houston, TX 77071 this weekend celebrating MLK Day bright and early with your favorite gourmet coffee.
The organization stresses the importance of our youth being able to attain the dream that Martin Luther King Jr., fought to make a reality for all underprivileged youth, young adults as well as all others across the globe.
In conjunction with Saturday's program celebrating MLK, the organization's outreach street team will afford teens an opportunity to connect and interact with their Teen Early Enrichment Needs (T.E.E.N) program.
Attendees will also have an exclusive opportunity to get a 'first look' at the newly released Stand Boogie and Shout DVD, featuring the award-winning Harlem Gospel Jubilee Choir by winning a copy.
Recently the organization signed on Disney's "Good Luck Charlie" teen star, actress Raven Goodwin. Goodwin of "The Station Agent" and Nickelodeon's "Just Jordan" fame was especially drawn to the organization's Literary Genius, (L.G.) and Books up Streets Down Program, along with their overall goals.
"I'm elated to be associated with an organization whose outreach program mirrors my own interests. It's wonderful that they encompass the elements I personally feel are essential to young adults.
